Industry veteran joins company leadership team from successful consulting role in which he helped drive MultiDyne’s international growth —Tue 09, 2019—

Hauppauge, NY, September 15, 2019 MultiDyne Fiber Optic Solutions is continuing to bolster its management structure to support its global growth, with industry veteran Bob McAlpine officially joining the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) following a successful year of working with MultiDyne through broadcast industry consultancy Black Pearl Management Group LLC. The new appointment marks McAlpine’s second stint with MultiDyne, having served as the company’s Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development in the late 2000s.

McAlpine has been instrumental to MultiDyne’s growth in his advisory position over the past year, playing a key role in the company’s recent acquisition of Toronto-based Census Digital and helping MultiDyne establish new presences in the EMEA and APAC regions. As an internal part of the management team, he will continue to drive such strategic initiatives while also strengthening the company’s infrastructure as a foundation for further expansion.

“Bob has helped MultiDyne grow from being a respected engineering company into a world-class enterprise with a robust global strategy,” said Frank Jachetta, CEO, MultiDyne. “As we keep scaling our business up, our organization and processes must continue to evolve, and Bob has helped improve the structure around our growing team. I look forward to more great things from him as an internal member of MultiDyne.”

McAlpine has been in the broadcast industry for more than 40 years, including key executive roles at Telecast Fiber Systems and Cobalt Digital. In his new position at MultiDyne, he will leverage his extensive experience and industry relationships to help the company grow its footprint in the global marketplace.

In addition to leading MultiDyne’s strategic sales and marketing efforts, he will work across all company departments to improve operational processes and maximize efficiency. An immediate focus will also be successfully integrating newly-acquired Census Digital, its people and its products into a unified MultiDyne portfolio.

“My previous time at MultiDyne had given me an intimate knowledge of its operations and products, and I’ve always been interested in helping Frank grow the company,” said McAlpine. “I have enjoyed being part of MultiDyne’s achievements over the past year, so the opportunity to join them full-time was very compelling. I’m excited to assist in their future growth going forward.”

McAlpine’s Black Pearl Management Group will also continue operation in parallel with his new position at MultiDyne.
