Head of HW Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of high-performance hardware for video streaming and low-latency applications (FPGA, DSP, SoC).
- Define board and system level roadmaps, balancing performance, cost, thermal, and manufacturability constraints.
- Manage development and integration of FPGA cores (DDR, SerDes, GTY/GTH, video I/O), verification, and integration with embedded software stacks.
- Oversee schematic and PCB design, signal integrity, and compliance for high-speed interfaces (HDMI, SDI, USB, Ethernet 25G/100G).
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Software Engineering to align HW-SW architecture.
- Work with Production to build and validate prototypes, lead EVT/DVT/PVT, and ensure readiness for mass production.
- Implement design for test (DFT) and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles; ensure compliance with broadcast and EMC standards.
- BOM optimization, component lifecycle management, and risk mitigation for supply chain.
- Report to executive leadership on innovation in hardware/video architectures
